Most users will feel results after their first treatment, but visible results are cumulative and most effective when implemented into a consistent routine. Our users have reported the following results: softer, firmer skin, improved moisture retention, a lightening of scars and dark spots, and more evenness in pigmentation. We highly recommend taking before and after photos for optimal comparison (and so we can see exactly what SolaWave has done for you!). Note: results may vary, but usually become apparent after two weeks of regular usage.
Microcurrent treatments use a low current to activate facial muscles which leads to a tighter, firmer texture--kind of like a work out for your face. They also increase the energy transfer between your skin cells, which increases cell duplication (faster regeneration), and supercharges the exchange of nutrients like oxygen and antioxidants in the deepest layers of your skin.
Red light therapy utilizes a red LED with a wavelength of 660 nm to boost the energy of cells, allowing them to repair damaged skin cells, reduce scarring, and soften the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines.
Warming skin, in addition to feeling amazing, encourages blood vessels to open and circulate blood flow more efficiently. This process helps relieve pain and stiffness and has even been known to clear away the infected clots that cause dark circles and under-eye bags.
Vibration treatments improve blood circulation under the skin, which can lead to better moisture retention and absorption of topical products. Vibration therapy can also relieve pain by overriding the communication between pain receptors in your brain.
Microcurrent therapy has been shown to destroy acne-causing bacteria, and red light treatment boosts the energy of skin cells, allowing them to regenerate more quickly, fight against breakouts, and heal scarring. SolaWave incorporates both of these technologies.
Yes! At only 6 inches long, SolaWave is compact and made for portable use. Keep it charged and use it at home or take it on the run with a portable battery pack.
Absolutely! The SolaWave will actually improve the absorption of any product it’s paired with, so you’ll always get the most out of your favorite creams and serums.
Designed for portability, SolaWave only weighs 1oz.-- that’s less than the serum bottle it’s paired with!
To charge SolaWave use the included micro USB cable, which can be plugged into a wall adapter, any computer with a USB 2.0 port, or a portable battery pack. A full charge will take 2 hours to complete and will last for one hour of continuous use (at 5 minutes a use, that’s 12 sessions on a single charge).
SolaWave cannot be used while it is charging. You must unplug your SolaWave from the charging source prior to use.
SolaWave will begin warming up after 30 seconds of continuous use on the skin. After a few minutes, your SolaWave will reach a max temperature of 100℉ (43°C). This provides a soothing, warming sensation.
You should never submerge your SolaWave underwater or get it wet. Do not use it in the shower. To clean your SolaWave, simply use a dry microfiber cloth and gently wipe the surface of the head. Make sure to not use any liquids or soap to clean your SolaWave as it may get damaged.

Rest assured, using SolaWave’s microcurrent feature on Botox®-treated areas is completely safe, but you may want to avoid using SolaWave on areas that were just treated with Botox® because microcurrent and Botox® have oppositional effects (Botox® freezes muscles, while microcurrent engages them) and it could possibly impact the effects of recent Botox®. That said, with consistent use, microcurrent therapy has been known to replace the use of Botox® altogether (a more affordable and healthier alternative). Microcurrent therapy does not affect Juvederm® and is safe to use on it. However, it is always best to consult a physician when combining treatments.
Yes, there are no known issues with using SolaWave with dental implants/braces. Please consult your dentist with any further questions.
SolaWave is safe to use with facial piercings, but you should avoid direct contact with metal components as the use of microcurrent may cause a “zinging sensation” if it touches metal.
Out of an abundance of caution, SolaWave should not be used by women who are pregnant, people under 18 years old, cancer patients, and people with pacemakers or other implanted medical devices. That said, we are working on a new version of our wand without microcurrent that is safe for use by anyone with a history of cancer, have implanted medical devices, or are pregnant. In truth, you can use your SolaWave as often or as little as you’d like, but we recommend doing only one session per day (your skin needs a break too, you know!). For optimal results we recommend using SolaWave once a day for 3-5 minutes, 5 days a week for the first 2 months--in this period you will see the most drastic improvements. After this timeframe you can continue using SolaWave at this frequency or use it 2-3 times per week for maintenance.
Begin with a clean, dry face.
Apply a layer of SolaWave's Conductive Serum (or another aloe-based conductive gel) to your entire face and neck. Ensure that the gel stays moist by periodically applying some water on top of the gel via your hands or a misting bottle.
In order to turn SolaWave on, simply touch the head of the device anywhere on your skin and you will feel it activate immediately. If your device doesn't turn on, charge it fully before continuing use.
Start under your eyes and move SolaWave in slow semicircle motions from one edge to the other: the warming function will melt away infection clots and act as an anti-inflammatory.
Next, move on to your cheek area beginning at your smile lines and pushing upwards towards the top of your cheekbones (as if you’re applying contour)--microcurrents and vibration will boost blood circulation and elasticity.
Finally, move down to your jaw/neck: gently pressing on your jawline, move SolaWave in a downward motion along your neck to reduce fine lines, tech lines and improve elasticity. Once finished, thoroughly rinse your face to ensure that all gel has been removed, then gently pat your skin dry.
Yes--all good things too, we may add! SolaWave’s warming and vibration features are gentle enough to be soothing and strong enough to get the job done. However, if you are feeling a strange tingling feeling, this may be due to using insufficient conductive serum, which may cause the microcurrent to be distributed improperly. We highly recommend applying a generous layer of conductive serum to your face before beginning treatment to ensure that the low current can be conducted properly and not cause discomfort.
Even though SolaWave is made of antimicrobial aluminum alloy, it is still important to clean your wand between each use to prevent the spread of bacteria. After each use, gently wipe the head of the wand with a dry cloth to remove any serum residue.
Caution: Never submerge your SolaWave in water.
While not required, applying the Conductive Serum before using SolaWave on your skin dramatically increases the depth and uniformity of microcurrent treatment: resulting in faster, more noticeable results.
When using the SolaWave, do not apply it in the center of your neck (your thyroid is very sensitive and should not be disturbed), directly on top of your eyes, on the chest, breasts or groin. It should also not be used on bruises and open wounds.
